Thoughts in mind

Lately I've been thinking in mind about Australia? Since currently we have that whole political stuff happening right now and how Julia Gillard is now the Prime Minister of Australia. But I would have to say I'm proud of her being the first female Prime Minister of Australia's history. Since the last debate against Canterbury Boys and how the main topic was based on Australian Politics, it really did keep me thinking about it. What if Australia did became a republic country? And yes that would be a whole hassle of turning that around cause it's all about the money in this world today! During our debate we mentioned about how voting is voluntary and if you don't vote here, you get fined which is pretty much a punishment. For example, what if someone needs to go overseas because of an emergency due to family situations or even to deal with work. Well you still can vote, but I mean it's alot of paper work too! And people have other committments and we shouldn't be forced, cause maybe more likely some people here might be interested. Therefore I actually strongly do believe that voting should be all about freedom of choice, there are both positive and negative sides towards it, but it's a good benefit for Australian citizens to vote since they are the "citizens" of this country. The other side is that majority of Australian's don't know how the Parliament and legislation works. It would be interesting to see in the future if 16 years old were allow to vote for elections because we are going to be the leaders of this nation one day.

Debating

So recently we have just finally won our first debate haha! Even though we don't go to the next round and seriously about time we versed a public school lol! Infact it was a really good debate even though it was my first time being 4th speaker. We debated against Canterbury Boys and I can never get over with "hypocriticalness" BWAHAHAAHAHAAA! It was based on Australian Politics and the topic was, "Should voting be voluntary?" I actually enjoyed this topic cause I learnt heaps but overall, debating can be fun and exciting at the same time! I always learn something new which I mostly enjoy about it and I hope to improve more with my public speaking :)

Bring it on Term 3!

I honestly can't believe I only have one more term till I start my HSC. During these Winter holidays, my Dad always reminds me about "Term 3" that it's going to be a very busy term that he really wants me to concentrate and aim higher marks. This is how I see it, by another 2 more months September, is going to be the most busiest term! Alot of things are going on during that time of month and I feel like I'm one step away to my dream. Recently I went to watch the movie "Karate Kid" and their main song was "Never say never" which is actually from Justin Bieber haha! But the lyrics were true despite where I'm going through now, in order to achieve something you need to believe in yourself first. I want that to prove myself when the results are out hopefully. But I will always remember no matter what happens, if it does knock me down then I will not stay on the ground. This term is really important to me so much.. and there is a reason of course. Who know's it might be a journey, especially a learning experience.
My mum then had a talk about me carring too much for people's feelings, which is true actually and I guess that's one of my weaknesses. I think I can be abit too soft. My cousin told me "Don't let anyone step over you" I know I'm strong girl, I can do it! I believe it's really important to think positive in life whether you have ups and downs, cause eventually you'll make it through.

Beautiful day

Thanks God it was a day off for me today on this beautiful day. I love that feeling when it's sunny, bright just basically lovely. But I got to catch up with my stinky Rionaldo and have lunch at Mama's kitchen which was great! The others came along Nigel, Ben, Rashi & Nick and just watched the boys play pool as usual.

This holidays hasn't been like a holiday to me, more like working and realization. I realize what's good for you and what's bad for you simply like that. I learnt to appreciate things more especially your surroundings and I feel very grateful. I just truly want to say I am very very grateful, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I have what I want, to be loved by them and in return that goes the same and to take care of them. There's nothing I can ask more. Sometimes it's quite sad to see when your in the same boat, you can't even have a decent conversation with that person even if you put your effort to show them that you still care. But it's more like they love the attention rather than knowing how you are and everything. I find that sad, but it shouldn't affect from the past things but it shows how much you care for people.

Believe

It's all about believing in yourself and yes it does take time to believe in myself, since I easily put myself down. Crying, bragging on about things and etc won't do nothing at all. I'm glad to have such beautiful parents with their great support and their the reason why they keep me motivated. I need to believe in myself in order to achieve my goals and dreams. I agree, believe in yourself first before anything.

Promise In The Dark

And it all equals a promise in the dark, so don’t promise me.
